Industry Megashifts 2021: Where We Are and Where We Will Be After Pandemic
President Development Center (PDC), President University, held a webinar entitled "Industry Megashifts 2021: After Pandemic" on Friday (11/12) morning. President University Rector, Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, revealed that this webinar was quite unique. "If webinars usually only discuss changes that occur when a pandemic occurs, today's webinar will discuss changes that have occurred after a pandemic, more specifically in 2021," he said.
As a speaker, Yuswohady, Managing Partner of Inventure, revealed that we will face huge changes in 2021, after the pandemic. In detail, he explained the big shifting that occurred after the pandemic, especially from the consumer's point of view.
Yuswohady, divides shifting into three parts, namely shifting at the mega (changes), macro (competition), and micro (customer) levels. Shifting at the Mega level covers changes in the fields of technology, politics, socio-economy to the environment. Meanwhile, shifting at the Macro level includes changes that produce new competitive maps in the pandemic era. Finally, shifting at the Micro level are major changes that result in changes in consumer behavior after the pandemic, which of course results in a new value proposition.
Besides describing the changes and their impact on consumer behavior, Yuswohady also explained the results of research on the impact of the pandemic on personal and family financial conditions. Through research conducted by Inventure-Alvara, the majority of Indonesians reveal that their income has decreased that resulted in the decreasing amount of the allocation for spending and investment. Even so, the Indonesian people show strong optimism for the improvement in Indonesia's economic conditions in the future.
"I hope that my presentation today can provide insight into the changes that have occurred and inspire students to take full advantage of these changes," concluded Yuswohady. He advised that young people should respond to the pandemic positively because it was at this time of crisis that new players in business would emerge. (SL)
Perubahan Industri 2021: Setelah Pandemi
President Development Center (PDC), President University, menggelar webinar bertajuk “Industry Megashifts 2021: After Pandemic” pada Jumat (11/12) pagi.
(SL)
